Ohio Historical Marker to be Dedicated in Oxford on May 9

Oxford, OH, April 22, 2014 – 

Dedication of an Ohio Historical Marker honoring Oxford’s First Lady Caroline Scott Harrison, and the Oxford Female Institute, now the Oxford Community Arts Center, will be held Friday, May 9 at 5:15 pm at the front sidewalk entrance of the Arts Center. Representatives from the Ohio Historical Society and local dignitaries will help unveil the marker. The ceremony is free and open to the public.  Funding for the Ohio Historical Marker came from the W. E. Smith Family Charitable Trust from a grant submitted by Kathleen S. Fox through Citizens for Historic and Preservation Services.
