Abraham Lincoln enjoyed a surprisingly friendly relationship with Confederate Vice President Stephens. This illustrated talk examines that relationship, exploring their session together in Congress during the 1840s, their friendly correspondence relating to their shared opposition to secession, and continuing through an unusual presidential pardon with an Ohio connection.
