Apple Butter Festival
Fall in Oxford means cooler weather, changing leaves, and... apple butter! The 49th Annual Apple Butter Festival will be held at the Pioneer Farm Museum during October 5-6 from 10am until 5pm. The event demonstrates the process of making home-made apple butter cooked over open fires, then immediately canned and ready for sale.
In addition to apple butter, a wide variety of products will be available for purchase, including an assortment of apples, cider, pumpkins, and gourds. Craft vendors, food concession and music and entertainment, including Nashville recording artist David Wayne and Oxford's own Jericho Old Time Band, will make this a great family activity.
Admission to the event will cost $2. No fee for children 12 and under.
Artisans who can demonstrate pioneer crafts are encouraged to participate in this event. For more information, visit www.oxfordmuseumassociation.com or call (513) 523-8005....more
