Miami Valley Bike Trails

Ohio's Miami Valley region offers an outstanding system of paved bikeways for residents and visitors. More than 340 miles of paved, interconnected trails stretch across ten counties surrounding the Dayton region. This makes the Miami Valley Bike Trails the nations' largest network of paved, off-street trails.

Trail users travel past museums and monuments, picnic areas and restaurants, and acres of parkland. The trail system is adjacent to the Museum of the United States Air Force, one of Ohio's most popular tourist attractions. The trails take you through the heart of Dayton and Springfield, plus dozens of charming smaller towns and villages.

Campgrounds and hotels offer places to stay near the trail, making it ideal for multi-day trips.  Because the trail network is separated from traffic, it is ideal for families, scout troops and others who are looking for a longer bike ride without riding in traffic.
