Beekeeper for a Day
Back by popular demand! For those who want to see a real Queen and her court at work, make a beeline for this sweet destination!
With a veil, suit, and smoker (and a bit of duct tape around the pant legs), this adventure is for the sting-brave and non-allergic explorers. Each adventurer will assist in opening hives, robbing bees, straining the combs and bottling the honey. This fascinating adventure will let you observe the intricate society of the honeybees and the challenge of beekeeping up close. Suits will be provided; long sleeves, slacks and closed shoes are strongly recommended. Each explorer leaves with a bottle of fresh honey!
If you are allergic to bees or think you might be, this adventure is not for you. Everyone who participates in robbing the hives will be wearing a protective beekeeper suit however when working with bees, although it rarely happens, there is always a risk of being stung.
