Open+Love=Smart. A Valentine's Day Concert with Dane Terry

CityMusic Columbus has planned a special Valentine's Day concert in partnership with Equality Ohio to celebrate Columbus' recent recognition as one of the world's seven "smartest" cities by The Intelligent Community Forum. This event celebrates equal rights in love for all people and Columbus' part in that movement. Songster and pianist Dane Terry will perform. The concert will take place at Via Vecchia Winery on February 14, 2013, doors open at 6 p.m. and concert begins at 7 p.m. Mikey's Late Night Slice among other food trucks will be on site, and other food, beverage, and dessert will be available for purchase. Dane Terry is a Neo-Vaudevillian Songster whose songs breathe as tiny theater creatures. With influences as varied as Bartok, Cole Porter and Willie Nelson, Terry creates musical vignettes that run the emotional gamut. Throughout his numbers and dirges alike his characters and images are backlit by a full palette of pianistic colors and given focus with his visceral imagery and vulnerable warble. "Columbus is such a supportive city. We awarded Columbus with the 2012 Allies for Equality. The city's Smart + Open campaign resulted in establishing a domestic partner registry in Columbus.
