CAC's popular 1,000 FACES:Columbus Artists 2012 lives on!

1,000 FACES LIVES AGAIN! The Cultural Arts Center's 1,000 FACES: Columbus Artists 2012 project, a popular Bicentennial event, celebrated Columbus' Arts Community while pointing out the diversity of the Arts in Columbus. It kicked off with a hugely successful inFORMAL Arts party attended by more than 1,500 guests. From there, the project segued into the Summer Installation of the faces of 1,000 Artists. The first-ever outdoor installation of this size for the Cultural Arts Center, it attracted many people to the Cultural Arts Center to celebrate the Arts. Disaster struck with the big July storms, when most of the installation was damaged. The Art came off the wall and into storage while the CAC staff decided what to do with it. They brainstormed a novel solution just as fun and popular as the original Installation. This week 1,000 FACES: Columbus Artists 2012 lives again in its NEW Installation "1,000 FACES: Looking Up," mounted as a vibrant floor covering for the CAC Painting Studio.
