Zoar Harvest Festival
A nationally renowned antiques show and sale is one of the highlights the annual Harvest Festival, now in its 40th year, honors the Zoarite tradition of gathering the final summer wheat in early August. More than 60 dealers of high-quality country
antiques will be on site selling historic treasures. Additional
activities include a juried craft show, art exhibition and sale, and an
art contest sponsored by Whitemyer Advertising.
Visitors can enjoy Zoar’s unique architecture and history with museum building tours, and watch as artisans demonstrate 19th-century methods in weaving, spinning, blacksmithing, butter churning, kraut making, bee keeping and more.
Homemade German food, beer and live musical performances throughout the weekend. Other weekend-long activities include horse-drawn wagon rides and children’s period amusements located throughout the village.
Admission costs $8 for adults and is free for children 12 and under. The cost includes access to all events and museum buildings.
