The War of 1812 on the Ohio Frontier

The War of 1812 on the Ohio Frontier relies on the holdings of the Hayes Presidential Center and the Lou Schultz Collection to provide visual insights into the war's battles fought on the "Ohio Frontier" - areas that bordered Lake Erie and today are part of Ohio, Michigan, and Canada. The history of the War of 1812 in the Northwest Ohio area is told chronologically highlighting such conflicts as Hull's Surrender (Detroit), River Raisin (Monroe, MI), Fort Meigs (Perrysburg, OH), Fort Stephenson (Fremont, OH), and the Battle of Thames (Canada).
