Conant Wildlife Area

The 74-acre Conant Wildlife Area lies in northeast Ohio, southeastern Ashtabula County, and Hartsgrove Township. Located on Windsor-Mechanicsville Road, U.S. Route 6 is less than one mile to the north, State Route 534 is two miles to the west, and State Route 45 is 2.5 miles to the east.

Conant Wildlife Area provides good hunting opportunities for white-tailed deer, wild turkey, squirrel, and some waterfowl. There is limited trapping for raccoon, mink, and muskrat. There are no opportunities for fishing available. Beaver and otter can be trapped by permit only.

The area is within the Snowshoe Hare Reintroduction Zone. Refer to the Ohio Hunting and Trapping Regulations publication for additional cottontail rabbit hunting restrictions.

There is one parking lot on the west side of the area off Windsor-Mechanicsville Road.
