Caesar Creek State Park Visitor Center
Caesar Creek Lake offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities. There is something for everyone; the camper, hiker, horseback rider, sportsman, boater, fossil collector and more. The project includes 2,830 acres of water and 7,720 acres of land.
Visitors should begin their tours at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Visitor Center, the overlook and the dam areas. The Visitor Center offers a wide variety of displays and presentations covering a variety of topics including wildlife, fossils and construction of the dam. Visitor Center hours are normally 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. -5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Picnic areas are located at the Visitor Center, Flat Fork Ridge and Tail Water recreation sites. Each area has parking, picnic tables, grills, water fountains and restroom facilities.
For the more energetic visitor there are over 40 miles of trails. From the Visitor Center take the short 1/5 of a mile trail, the 3/4 mile trail, or start the 13 mile trail which goes around the southern portion of the lake. More trails are accessible from the horseman’s camp off Furnas-Oglesby road.
