Ashland Chautauqua: 200 Years of Progress

Designed to explore history in an unusual and revealing way in a delicate balance of education and entertainment, this five-day event will be held at the Myers Memorial Bandshell and will feature characters who have made a significant impact on our history over the last 200 years. Each evening of the event will feature a full performance by the scholar. Following the first-person characterization, the scholar will participate in a question/answer session with the audience as the historic figure, then as the scholar. In celebration of Ashland, Ohio's Bicentennial, we will feature a local history performance on WWII.

Daytime workshops will also occur during these 5 days throughout Ashland County.
