Cleveland International Tattoo
Saturday, May 19, 2012. Spectacular demonstration of pageantry, music, song, drill and dance. Enjoy the sound of the pipes and drums from around the world with international dancers, musicians and military performers. “Tattoo” is rooted in European military history when musicians called the soldiers back to barracks. The Dutch phrase “doe den tap toe” or “shut off the taps” could often be heard in the village pubs. These nightly occurrences became popular sources of entertainment and evolved into the modern day tattoo. Audience members are treated to exciting military performances, multicultural dancers and patriotic presentations that deliver heart pounding excitement and high energy performances.
