N.E. OHIO-HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The perfect start to the Christmas season is the "Home for the Holidays" celebration at the Lake County History Center in Painesville, Oh, about 30 miles east of Cleveland. The showpiece of the Center is a 10,000 square foot 1876 museum building that becomes a Victorian fairy land during the season with floor to ceiling holiday decorations, guests will also find over two dozen Christmas trees lavishly decorated and an enormous selection of gifts for sale. Crafters fill the hallways with hand crafted items while the large dining room of the facility becomes remade to resemble Harrod's of London's great "Food Emporium." Rich ingredients, striking decorations and sophisciated wraping makes this stop one of the most popular for foods gift shopping. Guests are invited to stay for lunch being served in the dining room and to enjoy the shows and demonstrations throughout the museum. Special arrangements can be made for tour groups. Entrance fee $3 adults and seniors, children and parking are Free. Groups only $1! Nov.29-Dec.1, 2012 from 11am-4pm. Call for information 440-639-2945.
