Canoe for the Cure
Breast cancer is an evil illness that prematurely takes the lives of millions Americans every year. Hocking Valley Canoe Livery lost its founder, Connie Barbini to cancer in 2008. In her memory we are taking the battle for a cure to the river.
Renowned naturalists Paul Knoop and Alan Cohen will lead an excursion of the Hocking from the Natural Rockbridge to the Livery.
This 8 mile canoe ride is one of the scenic routes on the entire Hocking River. Points of interest along this route include the Natural Rockbridge and the old Hocking Canal. River wetlands, wildlife and other points of interest will be discussed.
In addition to Naturalist lead canoe trip, Canoe Races will start at 10:00am, with top prizes being handed out.
All money raised will go to benefit the local cancer support group
