Pancake Breakfast at Century Village
Ohio is the fourth largest producer of maple syrup in the country and with spring around the corner, it is maple sugaring time in Geauga County. Before the maple trees bloom they provide us with maple syrup that is one of the best all natural sweeteners.
The Geauga County Historical Society invites you to enjoy the sweet taste of maple syrup over pancakes at is annual pancake breakfast. This is a great chance to have fresh maple syrup and learn how this simple sweetener is produced. The pancakes, sausage, and omelets will be served hot off the griddle.
Once you are done with your pancakes you can learn about the history of the Western Reserve at Century Village. Seventeen historically significant structures have been moved to or reconstructed on the Society's showpiece living history site. These structures include: 1798 Umberfield Cabin, Vintage Barns, Blacksmith Shop, 1846 Church, Crossroads Store, 1878 Train Station, Thoburn Toy Soldier Collection, Marshal’s Office, Five Furnished Historic Homes, and 1872 Schoolhouse.
