Harding Symposium

A two-day event that will begin with a reception on Friday evening at The Ohio State University at Marion.  On Saturday afternoon workshop sessions will be held at The Ohio State University at Marion at various times ending with dinner and program at 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Keynote Address will be given by Andrew Young, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Congressman, former Mayor of Atlanta and Humanitarian. Author of An Easy Burden: The Civil Rights Movement and the Transformation of America. Featured presenters are Dr. Shannon King, The College of Wooster, Dr. David A. Nichols, author of A Matter of Justice: Eisenhower & The Beginning of the Civil Rights Movement and Dr. Kent Germany, project director and editor of The Presidential Recordings: Mississippi Burning & the Civil Rights Ace.
