Warren County History Center

The Warren County History Center is one of the Midwest's top history museums. Owned and operated since 1961 by the Warren County Historical Society, it houses three nationally known collections while depicting life in southwestern Ohio from approximately 1795 to 1900.
The Warren County History Center is best known for its Shaker furniture and archive collection, the largest in the "west" and one of the largest in the country. Shaker scholars and enthusiast from all over the world visit to study and enjoy the exhibits featuring this unique American experiment in communal living.
The geneological and historical research library housed within the Warren County History Center is a wealth of information on Warren County people and events. Visitors from all over the country use this collection of primary sources for research and education.
The museum's textile collection is also nationally known. Quilts, coverlets, samplers, and clothing provide visitor's with many fine examples of 19th needlework. The collection is well known and pieces from the collection are often on loan to other museums.
