Dayton Art Institute
Founded in 1919, The Dayton Art Institute is one of the region’s premier fine arts museums. In addition to exhibiting outstanding special exhibitions and impressive collections of art from throughout the world, the museum is renowned for education programming that includes an array of offerings for diverse audiences. The museum's permanent collection numbers more than 26,000 works of art, with more than 1,000 works currently on view.
The galleries and Museum Store are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, with extended hours on Thursday until 8 p.m. Free parking is available at the museum and the facility is fully accessible to physically challenged visitors.
