Hocking River Clean Up
Celebrate Earth Day on the Hocking River. Will you find a tire, a stove, or maybe a glider? – the hunt for the best trash pick up story is on! Paddle your canoe and gather trash along the river.
This is a great chance for groups or individuals to gather together to help keep our waterways clean for future generations. So if you are looking for a community or civic project or just want to lend a helping hand, head on down to Hocking Hills Canoe Livery.
Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Dress accordingly -- remember, the water will be cold! You may even want to break out the rubber boots or waders. Just remember -- in order to clean up the river, you may have to get dirty.
Clean up crews will start on the hour starting at 10 am and leaving until 1 pm. Alternate plans will be made in case of high water on the river.
