Buck Creek State Park Cottages
Buck Creek State Park is located in Clark Co. near Springfield, 48 miles west of Columbus. Tucked in between farm fields, prairies & wetlands, this landscape was once the stomping grounds of pioneer hero Simon Kenton. Go hiking on 6.5 mi. of nature trails, or horseback riding on 10 mi. of bridle trails (bring your own horse). Picnic areas have tables & grills, along with 2 reservable shelterhouses. Nature programs provide family entertainment all summer long. 2,120-acre C. J. Brown Reservoir offers swimming & sunbathing on a sand beach. All types of boating, with no limit on horsepower, are permitted. The marina offers supplies, refreshments. Fishing can be enjoyed from the shoreline or on the lake. Hunting is permitted in season in designated areas.
Cottage fees start at $85/night. One cottage is wheelchair accessible. Dogs are permitted in select pet-friendly cottages. Rates are subject to change. Call 1-866-OHIO-PARKS for reservations.
