New Works by Susan Astleford
WE have just brought in 15 new oil paintings by Susan Astleford! Still lifes, landscapes, many chronicling her travels throughout Europe and America are now on view at Caterina Ltd. Susan Astleford is an accomplished American impressionist who has studied both commercial and fine art. After graduating from Penn State University with a degree in art education, Susan continued her education studying oil and watercolor with artists including Gregg Kreutz, Scott Burdick, Kevin Macpherson and Kim English. For more than three decades Susan worked with watercolors.
"I love working with watercolors because of the fragile translucency of the thin paints on white paper." A skilled watercolor artist, Susan now brings her confident understanding of composition and light to her recent work in oils.
