Tiffin Seneca Heritage Festival
Add to the splendor of an autumn weekend by attending one of Ohio's largest festivals, celebrating its 37th year in 2015. It is held on Friday, September 18th through Sunday, September 20th. At the "Living History Village" visitors can step back in time by experiencing the rumble of Civil War cannons, while touring tents and teepees. There are also more food vendors than ever before offering tempting selections cooked over an open fire. Historical demonstrations by craftsmen, period musicians and Native Americans are scheduled throughout each day. This year the village will feature a mining promotion where kids of all ages can pan for gem stones! In the "Downtown" portion of the festival there is plenty of family entertainment including: local bands, inflatable playground equipment, food and children's activities. The downtown area also offers an antique car show and craft vendor area. Each year the annual Heritage Festival Parade is held on Saturday morning and this large event always provides something special. Included in this parade are pageant winners from other Ohio Festivals and our own Tiffin Heritage Festival Pageant ladies. The local history is promoted through displays, guided tours and our museums and art guild. Plan now to attend and we hope to see you there!
