From the beautifully appointed bedrooms and relaxing baths to the comfortable Gathering Room and the cozy Reading Nook, we hope that Abberley House will be your home and family away from home.

The three bedrooms boast fine linens and furnishings and the home is scattered with antiques, as well as a glimpse here and there of our beloved Irish heritage.

There are many activities and events in the surrounding area for you to enjoy, but if you’d rather indulge in doing nothing at all, we can accommodate you there as well. Our home has a covered front porch with rocking chairs and a large back deck on which to while away the day and enjoy the peace and quiet. Abberley House also has many cozy areas in which to sit and snuggle up with a good book, play a game, converse with new-found friends or to take a much-needed rest.

We are just minutes away from Longaberger Homestead and downtown Dresden and its wonderful shops. We are approximately 20 minutes from Coshocton and the Historical Roscoe Village and Monticello III canal boat, as well as Zanesville’s pottery and antique shops, The Wilds and the Lorena Sternwheeler riverboat.

We are also only 30 minutes away from Newark/Licking County and the Works Museum, The Midland Theatre and Heisey Glass Museum and we are approximately 60 minutes away from Ohio’s Amish Country.

Ahhhh, if there was only time enough in the day to sit and finish a good book. Oh, but there is! We have a very cozy reading nook with a glider and an afghan to wrap up in and a coffeemaker that is always on. We have books on the premises about Ireland and local history, but feel free to bring your favorites with you! We can also recommend a few good book stores in the surrounding area and will keep tabs on those wonderful library book sales for you. There are also some great coffee houses, some with live music and all, or course, with DELICIOUS COFFEE!
