The Holden Arboretum

Come discover your place in nature! The Holden Arboretum offers year round activities both indoor and out. You will find something for every age at Holden.

A living museum of forests and woodlands, meadows and display gardens, mountains and ravines, rock ledges and wetland, all with an abundance of wildlife, Holden is the largest of its kind in the United States. It is a place of year round beauty with tremendous scientific and ecological importance.

Covering 3,600 acres and documenting more than 120,000 plants, Holden connects people with nature for inspiration and enjoyment, fosters learning and promotes conservation. Open year round, Holden’s horticultural focus is on the documented collection of trees and shrubs, which are displayed in gardens accompanied by groundcovers and perennials, in themed collections and natural areas.
