Christmas Candlelight Shopping Festivities Downtown Bucyrus
Each Holiday Season on the first Thursday of December Bucyrus lines the streets with luminaries for their Downtown Candlelight Shopping and Festivities. Stores are open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with special sales on their merchandise, refreshments, and give-aways. There are horse drawn carriage rides, carolers roaming the street, with local organization vendors along the streets offering popcorn, bratwurst sandwiches, hot soups, bake and candy sales, etc.
The Bucyrus Tourism & Visitors' Bureau has goody bags for each family, door prize drawings, Mrs. Santa with a card for the children to sign for Santa and they serve Cooper's Mill mulled cider and cookies.
Santa is located in his house for the young and old to visit. The store windows are decorated with special lights. This is a great evening of Fun for the entire Family.
The Bucyrus Historical Society holds their Christmas Open House from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. as well!
