Take Pride in America

The prestigious U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, Silent Drill Platoon and Marine Corps Color Guard returns to Mentor for the ninth time since 1993, for a show entitled, "Take Pride in America." The Drum & Bugle Corps perform musical selections while marching on the field of Mentor High School. This is followed by the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Team's 24-man rifle platoon which executes a series of calculated drill movements demonstrating precise handling of their hand-polished, ten pound M-1 garand rifles with fixed bayonets. As part of the event, members of the Marine Reserve Forces, Cleveland, Ohio display weapons, vehicles and equipment used by the Marines. The display will be available for public viewing from 1 to 10 p.m.
