Best "Wurst" Bicycle Ride
Best "Wurst" Bicycle ride for 2014 is featuring Crawford County countryside at its Best. Riders will have their choice of a 32 mile, 65 mile or 100 mile route through beautiful countryside and farmland. There will also be a 12 mile family ride. Food and rest stop will be at the Lowe-Volk Nature Center near Leesville, at the Downtown Gazebo in New Washington plus several other snack and water stops along the way. At the Registration Area there will be a pancake breakfast for all riders. Breakfast will be served until 1:00 p.m. Sag Wagon and ham radio operators will be along the route. Registration on day of ride is 7a.m to 9a.m. and riders must return by 4 p.m. Ride begins and ends at the Crawford County Fairgrounds on Whetstone Street in Bucyrus. Registration will be located in the Crawford Farm Machinery Museum. Viewing farm machinery from yesteryear is always a part of our ride. Commemorative T-shirts are available pre-ordered and pre-paid on or before August 1.
Award plaques will be presented at the conclusion of the ride to the First rider registered for 2014; largest group to ride; rider with most birthdays; rider who traveled the farthest. Commemorative patches will be awarded. Homemade Ice Cream; Showers to freshen up and a massage therapist will be available at the end of the ride.
