Eldora Speedway
The "Big E" Eldora Speedway, located in northern Darke County, is a .500 mile, high-banked oval dirt track known nationwide for its prestigious events, competitive racing action and fan-friendly facility. Earl Baltes opened Eldora in 1954 and continued his promotional efforts through 2005 when three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Tony Stewart purchased the facility.
Stewart has maintained the Baltes legacy with a pledge to enhance the famed 'Eldora Experience'. A wide variety of racing divisions, along with race fans from throughout the nation, and abroad, make the annual pilgramage to Eldora.
