Opened in 1965, this white-tablecloth restaurant located at the top of Cedar Hill in the fashionable Cedar-Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights (just a mile from Severance Hall in University Circle) boasts 4 rooms available for private parties, 3 bars, an eclectic American menu, a fabulous near-year-round outdoor patio (heated with electric panels) featuring a massive waterfall and a full, moderately-priced menu available until midnight seven days/nights a week.
Besides being known as one of Cleveland's most interesting restaurants for both its menu and ambiance, Nighttown is also Cleveland's premier jazz club (some call us "the Severance Hall of Jazz"), featuring national acts throughout the week. In fact, Nighttown is the only place in Ohio to be listed on Down Beat's list of the 100 Best Jazz Clubs in the World.
In addition, Nighttown is now the home of The Press Club of Cleveland, with the Press Club's Visual Archives and Press Club Hall of Fame on the walls of the restaurant.
Nighttown has the ability to serve parties as large as 200, valet parking in the evening and we're tour group friendly (free parking for buses, with notice).
Please go to our website to see photos of the restaurant, our unique outdoor dining patio, photos of the Journalism Hall of Fame and video clips from some of the internationally-known artists who've played on the Nighttown stage.
