Hardin County!

Rolling fields, festivals with heart, shops with character-that's what we call Hardin County. Things are different here. We're dedicated to perserving our rich history while moving forward with new cultural and industrial experiences that enrich our quality of life. Ohio's longest river, the Scioto, runs through our county.

We boast a proud heritage of Wyandott and Shawnee tribes once roaming our land. The War of 1812 has a significant place in our history with the outpost, Fort McArthur, located here. Simon Kenton, the great frontiersman, trudged through our forest. With attractions such as our historical museums, Ada's Wilson Sporting Goods Co. (manufacturer of the official NFL footballs), Old Order Amish-Tour, Mt. Victory Antique Village, Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for Performing Arts and old fashioned festivals, every age will experience enjoyment no matter what their interest.

Small rural villages, street lined Victorian homes, quaint shopping experiences, meandering country back roads, all this and more awaits when you come and Experience... Hardin County!
