Algonquin Mill Complex

The Algonquin Mill Complex is a collection of original and relocated structures assembled on the grounds around the steam-powered gristmill built circa 1826 and Whispering Winds Farms (circa 1870). The property features traditional outbuildings from the era as well as several 1800's log cabins, an original stage coach inn, a one-room schoolhouse and a 1902 railway station .

The Perry J. Vasbinder Arboretum was established in the fall of 1976 and contains over 400 different plantings. The arboretum is named in honor of Perry J. Vasbinder, a local hardware businessman who initiated the idea as the best use of one of the pasture fields on the property. Plant guides are available in the "mailbox" of Log House #3.
