Seneca County Museum

In 1853, life was simple and pure. Walk through the door of Tiffin's first millionaire's home - which is now the Seneca County Museum - to experience life as it was then. Tour the 16-room Greek Revival historic home which eloquently displays everything from the life of a a millionaire, to the beauty of Tiffin Glass and other fine treasures. Displays inside the museum include a large military room, Civil War memoribilia, antique toys, a primative kitchen, and much more.  Plus the garage contains a horse drawn hearse and a Tiffin-made truck and automobile from around 1917. There are local history displays in the Fort Ball Room that change 3 times a year and you can now view the contents of the time capsule found in the cornerstone of the 1884 Seneca County Courthouse, that was demolished in 2012.  Be sure to save a few minutes to take a step outside to view the carriage house with antique fire equipment and horse-drawn wagons. We have limited hours, but please call for appointment as we are willing to offer tours with minimal advanced notice.  For more information, see our website at - and follow us on Facebook.
