Lake White Club
From Log Cabin to Chicken Dinners - When you walk through the entrance of the Lake White Club, you are virtually stepping back in time nearly two centuries. The huge timbers you see forming the walls of the foyer are the original walls of a log cabin built on this spot in the mid 1820's. The Ohio-Erie Canal which could be seen from the cabin's windows, was an artery of travel for new settlers moving from the east.
The Canal and the towpath, abandoned in the early 1900's, now is the spot for the dam over Pee Pee Creek which created Lake White and the state park which is located here at present. You may dine in this establishment on steaks or their famous fried chicken, and the lobster tail and filet mignon is worth the trip. Enjoy fine dining upstairs, shrimp cocktail in the lounge downstairs, or an after dinner drink on the veranda, with an evening breeze for company while watching the boats go by on the Lake. Dick and Audrey Ford welcome you to the Lake White Club and a legacy of fine food, flavored with a dash of Ohio's history.
