Bucyrus Tourism & Visitors Bureau
Visit us in Bucyrus and enjoy some of the finest attractions in Ohio. Colonel James Kilbourne, one of our city's founding fathers, named the area Bucyrus by combining the word "beautiful' and "Cyrus". We're located on the Historic Lincoln Highway in the heart of Ohio with State Routes 4, 19, 30, 98 and 100 all traveling through our city.
When you arrive in Bucyrus, you'll feel like you have just stepped into a picture postcard of a charming Midwestern town painted by Norman Rockwell. Many trees and historic homes line the sidewalks. Our main street is home to a variety of locally owned and operated shops and businesses. Festivals, family fun, many one-of-a-kind attractions, and lots of history from hand hammered copper kettles and an Elvis museum, to a Speak Easy of the 1920's era.
Our Bureau offers four Speciality Tours: Agricultural Tour, Historic Church Tour, New Washington Tour, and the Manufacurer Tour. In addition, we're happy to custom design a tour for you and your group personally which can include any of our area attractions you'd like to experience. Our office will design the itinerary to meet your approval, then make all of the arrangements for you. On your chosen day, you bring your group and enjoy a wonderful day or more Discovering the Bucyrus Area. We also have one of Ohio's Best Step on Guides to help you with your tour.
