Museum of Ceramics
The East Liverpool Museum of Ceramics showcases 150 years of pottery from the city known as "America's Crockery City" and the "Pottery Capital of the Nation". Related displays on the social, political, and economic history of this town show the impact of the ceramic industry on the community and the country as a whole.
The museum was originally built in 1909 as the city post office. It was converted to its present form in 1980, and is now on the National Register of Historic Places as a model of Beaux-Arts style. Museum exhibits include dioramas depicting pottery making and a video on the history of the pottery industry.
