Salt Fork State Park
Salt Fork State Park is located in Guernsey Co., 35 miles east of Zanesville. With more than 17,000 acres of woods and water, Salt Fork boasts plenty of room to roam. Enjoy golfing the 18-hole golf course. (Call pro shop for tee time.) Hike 14 miles of scenic hiking trails, or go horseback riding on 36 miles of bridle trails (bring your own horse). Bring your mountain bike to explore 16 miles of mountain biking trails. Naturalist programs provide education and entertainment all summer. Visit the historic Kennedy Stone House, and explore Hosaks Cave. Both are worth the hike. 2,952-acre Salt Fork Lake offers a sand swimming beach. There is no horsepower limit on boating, and the marina offers fuel, boat & dock rental. Six ramps provide access. Fish from shore or the lake for walleye & muskie. Hunting is permitted in designated areas.
The Resort Lodge features comfortable guest rooms, a dining room, meeting rooms, lounge, indoor/outdoor pools, fitness room. Two-bdrm. vacation cottages have kitchens, living/dining areas, bathroom, heat & A/C. Lakeside chalets offer hot tubs. The campground offers 192 campsites with electric hookups and 20 full-hookup sites with electric, sewer & water. Amenities are hot showers & modern restrooms. Pets permitted on designated sites.
