Lake Loramie State Park

Lake Loramie State Park is located in Shelby County about an hour northwest from Dayton. Originally created in 1825 as a reservoir for the Miami-Erie Canal system, Lake Loramie offers an expansive no wake zone perfect for canoeing, as well as an open zone for power boating. Hike 8 miles of trails that trace the route of the historic Miami-Erie Canal. Several picnic areas around the lake offer tables and grills. 3 shelters are reservable. Nature programs provide entertainment year round.

1,655-acre Lake Loramie offers a sand beach. From sailing to speed boats, all boating is permitted with no horsepower limit. Seasonal dock rentals are available. 5 launch ramps provide access to the lake. Fishing can be enjoyed from shore, the accessible fishing dock, or the lake. Hunting is permitted in designated areas.

The campground offers 164 campsites with electric hookups and 16 non-electric sites. Pets are allowed on designated sites. Amenities include showers, restrooms and campers beach. Enjoy hassle-free camping in a Rent-A-Camp, or relax with the comforts of home in a Cedar Cabin.

Camping rates (weekends) range from $21/night to $27/night for non-electric/electric sites. Cedar Cabins are $90/night. Rent-A-Camps are $36/night. Call 1-866-644-6727 for reservations.
