Alum Creek State Park
Alum Creek State Park is in Delaware Co. 8 mi. E of Delaware. The reservoir & woodlands provide recreation close to Ohio's capital. Hiking on 9.5 mi. of trails, horse riding on 38 mi. of trails (bring your own horse) & mountain biking on 7 mi. of dedicated trails. Enjoy a round of disc golf at the disc golf course. Bring your dog for a day of fun at the Alum Creek Dog Park and dog beach, which has been rated as one of the best in the U.S.
Picnic areas provide tables & grills. Nature programs provide entertainment all summer. 286 campsites with electric and 3 sites with full hookups are available. Amenities include showers & restrooms. Pets are permitted on designated sites. Cedar Cabins or Camper Cabins available. A horse camp is available by permit. A group camp is also available.
Alum Creek Lake offers a sand swimming beach. All sorts of boating is permitted with no horsepower limit. The marina ((740) 548-6056) offers supplies, drinks & boat rental. 5 launch ramps provide easy access. Fishing can be enjoyed from the shoreline, accessible fishing pier or on the lake. Hunting is permitted in designated areas.
Camping Fees range from $29-$31 for electric/premium sites. Full service sites are $36/night on weekends. Camper Cabins are $45/night and Cedar Cabins are $75/night. Equestrian camp sites are $17/night on weekends. Call 1-866-OHIO-PARKS for reservations.
