Nelson Kennedy Ledges State Park

Nelson Kennedy Ledges State Park is located in the northeast corner of Portage County. The park offers some of Ohio's most dramatic and beautiful scenery.  Sparkling waterfalls tumble down towering cliffs.  Three miles of  trails take hikers along the rim of the ledges and into the gorge through incredible rock formations with colorful names like devil's icebox, the narrows, shipwreck rock and gold hunter's cave.
Nelson Kennedy ledges is worth the drive for a memorable nature hike, especially at the peak of fall color or spring wildlfowers. The park is located 25 miles northwest of Youngstown, 37 miles southeast of Cleveland, 30 miles northeast of Akron and 45 miles from Canton. No overnight facilities are available at this park.
