Visitors to Lake Metroparks Farmpark watch and participate in dailyhand milking the cows. Other demonstrations include machinemilking, cheese-making, and other farm skills. Try your hand a makingice cream the old-fashioned way on weekends! In addition, the park ishome to dozens of breeds of livestock, from pigs to alpacas; and kids,in particular, will delight in seeing the different animals being fedand cared for.
The Plant Science Center features exhibitsabout hydroponic and organic gardening, cultivating honey, andcreating a viable greenhouse. The Woodland Center offers displays onforest conservation, maple syrup harvesting, and other outdooractivities of local interest. Wagon rides are the mode of transportationthroughout the park.
Due to the nature of the facility, no pets are allowed on Farmpark grounds.
Farmpark offers a country setting for offsite business meetings, corporate picnics, and holiday parties. Open year round, 7 days a week with the exception of Mondays, January through March.
