This stately Colonial manor, built c1879 by the owner of the local lumberyard and master ship builder of the day and later purchased by Capt. Charles Montague, has welcomed guests internationally and has been nationally showcased in Midwest Living magazine several times.

Completely renovated and filled with antiques and exquisite reproductions, the Captain's offers the finest in the Victorian romantic tradition. The intricately carved solid black walnut staircase and mantels give the home a mellow, relaxed ambiance. The large gazebo, appointed with wicker, provides complete relaxation as do the adjacent in-ground swimming pool and well-manicured gardens.
