Ohio Division of Travel and Tourism Releases 2006-07 Fall/Winter Calendar of Events
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Department of Development's Division of Travel and Tourism today unveiled the 2006-07 Fall/Winter Discover Ohio Calendar of Events, available free of charge from DiscoverOhio.com or the state's toll-free tourism hotline, 1-800-BUCKEYE. A downloadable PDF version of the calendar also will soon be available from DiscoverOhio.com.
The calendar provides Ohio visitors with:
- An indispensable listing of nearly 600 events, festivals, shows, concerts and more taking place between September 2006 and February 2007. All listings are color-coded by geographic area and listed in chronological order for ease of use;
- A travel information section including driving distances, airport information, important travel phone numbers and Web sites;
- And a listing of Ohio visitor bureaus/chambers of commerce that provide travel information.
The 48-page Ohio Calendar of Events gives travelers information about the array of special events found throughout the state during the fall and winter months. "Fall is an ideal time to devour Ohio's almost endless array of festivals and farm markets," said State Tourism Director Claudia Vecchio. "Ohio offers a number of ways to appreciate the colder months of winter including plays, concerts, art exhibitions and other cultural pursuits."
The biannual Ohio Calendar of Events in tandem with the continuously updated events listings on DiscoverOhio.com offers travelers a valuable travel planning resource.
