Ohio Division of Travel and Tourism Offers Tour Operators New Tool for Booking Ohio
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Division of Travel and Tourism announced today the completion of its 2005-06 Packaged Travel Planner. The book is designed to provide tour operators and group tour planners with a wealth of resources for booking student or adult group trips to Ohio.
The book provides detailed information on Ohio's packaged travel experiences and highlights the state's group-friendly attractions, restaurants, lodging facilities, and festivals. The planner also has contact information for the state's motorcoach owners, receptive operators, step-on guides and destination marketing organizations that provide assistance to tour operators. For student groups, the publication provides a listing of performance venues ideal for student bands and choirs.
The planner also gives operators a number of itineraries, organized by region, that include a great variety of travel experiences. The itineraries were provided by the area convention and visitors bureaus, and showcase the very best offerings of each area.
"We designed this publication to give packaged travel planners a comprehensive printed piece that can be used to plan trips to Ohio from virtually anywhere," said Claudia Vecchio, state tourism director. "We know planners don't always have access to the Internet and this book is designed to help tour operators plan every detail of an trip to Ohio with ease no matter where or when that planning takes place."
The publication will also be available as a downloadable .pdf file from www.DiscoverOhio.com within the Packaged Travel section. All information contained in the book is searchable on the website where additional and updated information is always available.
