MASON, Ohio (June 3, 2009) – Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB) launched a new Web site this month at www.OhiosLargestPlayground.com with one purpose: FUN. The WCCVB used the most current, innovative technology to make travel planning more visitor-friendly and cost effective.

Splashes of vivid imagery, bold colors and simple navigation are the first signs that this Web site is all about a fun, family-friendly vacation destination experience. And, what’s not fun about planning a “Play-cation” in Ohio’s Largest Playground?

“The Web site is Warren County’s front door to visitors and establishes us as a premier vacation destination,” WCCVB Executive Director Shirley Bonekemper said. “It sets the tone for a good experience and shows visitors that Warren County is not only a great place to visit, but a point of pride for residents as well.”

Using clean lines, panoramic photographs and minimal copy, visitors are encouraged to explore the many facets of Warren County through simple navigation broken down to the basic tenets of a vacation - Stay, Play, Eat and Shop.

A quick scroll down the page highlights key points of interest such as vacation packages, current promotions and an events calendar.

The Web site has more than 3,000 pages of consumer focused content. The site also features a comprehensive user-friendly itinerary planning tool and tailored sections for sport participants and planners; meeting and tour planners; and the media.

Technically speaking, the new design also features improved navigation, an upgraded photo and video multimedia center, integrated Google Maps and much more. The site will also allow visitors to easily access information on the go about area attractions, accommodations and special promotions on a handheld device with a customized mobile Web presence which will be launched later this summer.

WCCVB also introduced a dynamic new branding campaign which leverages the use of a cutting edge illustration which will attract visitors to the new WCCVB site and help to differentiate Warren County in a sea of vacation choices.

“Our goal was to cut through the clutter of the many travel messages with a creative and edgy ad campaign that depicted our three lead attractions,” WCCVB Marketing Director Sally Derrick said. “Once on our Web site, visitors will also learn about our fascinating history, premier sporting events, limitless shopping and wide array of outdoor activities and festivals. They will find out what a great, affordable, family-friendly, vacation destination Warren County is. It’s so close you can start having fun in just a few short hours.”
