CLEVELAND (Oct. 1, 2008) - When Leah Nance and her kids arrived at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Saturday, they had no idea they were in for a surprise. To celebrate the Zoo’s millionth-visitor milestone of 2008, the Akron family gets to come back to the Zoo for free as many times as they want in the next year.
Nance won a family membership to the Cleveland Zoological Society, Zoo merchandise from Event Network’s gift shop and complimentary lunch at The RainForest courtesy of ARAMARK.
The Zoo’s 2008 attendance is running ahead of projections thanks to a strong summer season highlighted by the Frogs, Hogs & Dogs attraction and the popular TOUCH! Amazing Rays & Sharks exhibit that drew more than 260,000 people.
Attendance also should be bolstered by the upcoming Boo at the Zoo. Tickets are going fast for the eight-night event, which runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 16 – 19 and 23 -26. Tickets for Saturday, October 18 already are sold out.
