Mary Cusick prepares to meet with Advisory Board amidst widespread approval
Thursday, December 19 marks the inaugural meeting of the TourismOhio Advisory Board, an 11-member group of seasoned professionals selected to advise the Ohio Development Services Agency on the strategic direction to promote Ohio tourism. Leading the effort is TourismOhio Director Mary Cusick.
Cusick’s appointment, announced in November, is being met with widespread approval by industry leaders and organizations that have seen her leadership and experience first-hand.

: Nearly 190 million visitors come to Ohio each year. TourismOhio is in the first year of a 5-year pilot funding model. Funding is based on the year-to-year increase in state sales tax revenue from tourism-related industries, up to $10 million dollars. The first round of funding under the pilot program became available November first.
