"This is a great example of the ongoing efforts of our Ohio Film Office to showcase Ohio's talent," Interim Director of the Ohio Department of Development Mark Barbash said. "We are excited to have established this contest to showcase some of Ohio's great filmmaking and musical talents," Ohio Film Office Director Christina Grozik said. "This is a chance for the nation to select which videos our celebrity judging panel will review to determine the winner. It's also an exciting opportunity for the public to show support for their favorite Ohio band and filmmaker."
Votes from the public will determine the Top 10 contest finalists whose videos will be seen by the following panel of judges, some of which include several Ohio natives:
- Chad Lowe: "Unfaithful" (actor); "Beautiful Ohio" (producer)
- Joe Russo and Anthony Russo: "You, Me, & Dupree" (directors); "Welcome to Collinwood" (directors, producers and writers)
