Ohio Film Office Invites Filmmakers to Test Skills in Music Video Contest
Ohioans can enter to win Rock Hall Induction weekend, exposure to high-profile industry judges

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Feb. 13, 2009) - Ohio's budding filmmakers and musicians will have an opportunity to impress a national audience on YouTube and a panel of celebrity judges by participating in the Ohio Film Music Video Challenge.

"The Ohio Film Music Video Challenge is designed to showcase Ohio filmmakers and musicians in conjunction with the return of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony to Cleveland," said Ohio Film Office Director Christina Grozik. "We are very excited to provide Ohioans with an opportunity to flex their filmmaking skills while partnering with Ohio universities that are nurturing Ohio's future talent."

The contest opens to participants once the contest criteria and rules are posted on the official Ohio Film Music Video Challenge Web site on February 18, 2009, at: http://Contest.DiscoverOhioFilm.com.

To enter the contest, an Ohio production team must partner with an Ohio musical act to create a music video concept, shoot and edit the video, and post it on the official YouTube contest page at http://www.youtube.com/group/DiscoverOhioFilm by March 11, 2009. The public will vote for their favorite videos online. Then the Top 10 finalists' videos will be judged by professionals in the music and film industries including:

- Bob Hoch (Senior Director of Digital Marketing), Sony Music
- Mark Johnson (Producer), "The Chronicles of Narnia"
- Todd Longwell (Writer), The Hollywood Reporter
- Chad Lowe (Actor), "Unfaithful"; (Producer), "Beautiful Ohio"
- Brad Petrigala (Manager), Brillstein Entertainment Partners
- Michael Peyser (Producer), "U2 3D"
- Don Scott (Writer), "Barbershop" and "Barbershop 2: Back in Business"

Contest winners will be announced live during an event at the House of Blues in Cleveland on March 31 from 6-8 p.m. (must be present to win). The leader of the winning team will receive a generous prize package that includes:

- 10 hours of studio recording time from Ante Up Audio
- Day of photography with prints from Gregory Wilson Photo
- Hard Rock Café dinner for two
- Pair of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony tickets
- Hyatt Regency Cleveland weekend stay
- Marengo Luxury Spa gift certificate
- KP Photo half-day photo shoot
- House of Blues Gospel Brunch for two
- One-year Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum membership
- Pickwick and Frolic gift certificate for two
