"Ohio is a fantastic destination for summer travel, but our season doesn't stop there – everything travelers can see and experience this time of year is enhanced by our location in one of the country's most outstanding fall color regions, cool temperatures, and Ohio's wonderful harvest festivals," said State Tourism Director Amir Eylon. "This is also the season when Ohio's arts and cultural events really get under way, and we have world-class museums, symphonies, Broadway shows and a diverse array of events awaiting travelers within about 600 miles of roughly 60 percent of the U.S. population."
The bi-annual
Ohio Calendar of Events, in tandem with the continuously updated event listings on
DiscoverOhio.com, offers travelers a valuable travel planning resource including:
• An indispensable listing of more than 900 events, festivals, shows, concerts and more taking place between September 2008 and February 2009. All listings are color-coded by geographic area and listed in chronological order for ease of use;
• A travel information section including driving distances, airport information, important travel phone numbers and Web sites;
